Tickets
Visitors are advised to pre-order tickets before their visit. A number of walk-in tickets may be available subject to capacity.
Arrival
The museum is located in Agnes, which is about 30 minutes by foot from Stavern city centre. The nearest bus stops are called Skaubakken and Agnes, a five minute walk away.
Visitor parking
There is parking near the museum for private cars and small vehicles (see map). The parking spaces belong to Agnes Utvikling AS og and are managed by Parkly. There is limited and temporary parking for disabled persons near the museum entrance.
In the summer season from May 1st to October 1st the following fee rates apply:
Bus parking
There is a dedicated parking zone for buses north-west of Agnes (see map), marked by signs. Buses that park here will be invoiced NOK 250 by Agnes Utvikling AS through Parkly. For more information, visit www.parkly.no.
Note: In every other parking zone on the premises, buses will be charged full price, which is NOK 800 per entry.
Motorhome parking
There is a dedicated parking zone for motorhomes on the west side of Agnes (see map) with a daily fee rate of NOK 250 or NOK 70 per started hour.
Accessibility
The venue is inclusively designed, and is accessible to wheelchair users who bring their own wheelchairs. The exhibit spans two floors with an elevator.
Food and drink
Food and drink is not allowed inside the museum. Havfuglen Café and Agnes Brygghus are located in the immidiate vicinty, and there are further options in the city center.
Restrooms
There are restrooms available, including accessible facilities for persons with reduced mobility.
Cloakroom
There is no cloakroom or luggage storage. Small handbags may be brought into the exhibition.
Children
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Changing stations can be found in Havfuglen Café.
Photography
Photography and film is allowed, without flash in order not to disturb other visitors.
Pets
Pets are not allowed to enter and must remain outside under the pet owner's supervision and responsibility.
